PENGARUH BERWUDHU TERHADAP TINGKAT KECEMASAN PADA SISWA SMA YANG MENGHADAPI UJIAN NASIONAL
Abstract
Anxiety becomes the most common class of mental disorder present in the
world, including Indonesia. One of the things that could cause anxiety was
National Examination. The anxiety arised because there was a lot of subject to be
learned and students were afraid the exam result were not satisfactory. Excessive
anxiety could interfere physical, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral. Anxiety
could be treated with pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy. One of
non-pharmacological therapy was wudu’ therapy. Wudu’ had the same principles
with hydrotherapy in the treatment of anxiety; besides, it also had worship value
for the people who did this therapy.
The purpose of this study to determine the effect of wudu’ towards anxiety
level of Senior High School students in National Examination.
This study was an quasy experiment with pre-post test with control group
design. Sample of this study were 70 respondents that had been chosen by
accidental sampling. This study used S-AI (State-Anxiety Inventory) instrument to
measure anxiety level. The data would analyze with statistical test of T-Test.
Paired t-test results showed p value=0,000 (p<0,05) in intervention group
and p=0,948 (p>0,05) in control group, it means that there were significant
difference in intervention group before and after wudu’. In conclusion, wudu’
therapy affect the level of anxiety of Senior High School students in National
Examination
