GAMBARAN PERSEPSI DAN SIKAP REMAJA TERHADAP ORANG DENGAN SKIZOFRENIA DI SMAN 1 KASIHAN BANTUL YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Background : The prevalence of schizophrenia in Indonesia is quite high, namely about 1.7 per 1000 inhabitants, or about 400.000 people. While in Yogyakarta, especially in Bantul Regency. There are schizophrenic about 45 patients, this number is taken based on patient visits to the health center Mercy 1 in August 2014. People with schizophrenia are not detached from the negative stigma that many who perceive patients with schizophrenia with the perception that negative, but the majority of perception shown by the adolescents in this study is a positive perception with the percentage of the results was 99.3%, while for the attitude was 99.6%.Objective : To determine the perceptions and attitudes of teenagers towards people with schizophrenia in SMAN 1 KasihanBantul Yogyakarta. Data analysis used was univariate analysis. The study sample were 292 respondents, with the sampling technique using Total Sampling. Research design : this research is descriptive by using quantitative methods. Design this study uses survey research with cross-sectional design which emphasizes the time of measurement only one times at one point in the observation. Result : the result shows the perception and the positive attitude of teenagers towards people with schizophrenia. This happens because adolescents perceive people with schizophreniaas part of the community that need support and attention, and therefore with the implementation of the perception is positive then the attitude shown also positive. Conclusion : the perception and attitude of teenagers towards people with schizophrenia in SMAN 1 KasihanBantul Yogyakarta imaged positive.
