HUBUNGAN HIPERTENSI SAAT MASUK RS DENGAN LAMA RAWAT INAP PASIEN PADA STROKE ISKEMIK AKUT
Abstract
Background: Stroke is a major health problem. In ASEAN, according to the Southeast Asia Medical Information Center, Indonesia ranks the country with the highest death rate due to stroke. The prevalence in Indonesia according to basic health research in 2013 was 12 per 1000 residents, in Yogyakarta as many as 10 per 100 residents. The most common stroke is ischemic stroke. Hypertension is one of the factors causing stroke, according to the Indonesian Ministry of Health, around 25.8% of the population in Indonesia suffer from hypertension in 2013.
Objective: To analyze the relationship of hypertension with the length of stay in acute ischemic stroke patients.
Methods: Quantitative research based on analytic observational studies with cross-sectional design. A sample of 99 consisted of ischemic stroke patients who were treated at PKU Gamping Hospital Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta in the period of December 2016 to December 2017. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The study used secondary data medical records to obtain the required data and carried out a correlation analysis with Chi Square test.
Results: The results were not significant (p> 0.05) with the length of stay for acute ischemic stroke patients, namely hypertension with p = 0.872, LDL with p = 0.126, blood glucose with p = 0.079. Significant relationship (p <0.05) is total cholesterol with p = 0.004. Total cholesterol is the single factor that has a significant relationship with length of stay in acute ischemic stroke patients.
Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between hypertension and length of stay in acute ischemic stroke patients
