NARASI PEMBERITAAN KORAN LOKAL YOGYAKARTA (HARIAN JOGJA, KEDAULATAN RAKYAT, RADAR JOGJA, DAN TRIBUN JOGJA) TENTANG KERUSUHAN SUPORTER SEPAKBOLA DI STADION SULTAN AGUNG BANTUL 2018
Abstract
On July 26, 2018, the derby match between PSIM against PSS was marked by a riot of supporters from the two teams has competed. The chaos has happened causing people injured and one of them have died. Again, the Indonesian football mourning, because they had to write a dark note due to the brutal supporters' actions. This is appealed to the print media in Yogyakarta which raised the news of the rioting of football fans as the main news. In this study, the researcher tried to examine local Yogyakarta newspapers such as Harian Jogja, Kedaulatan Rakyat, Radar Jogja, and Tribun Jogja to build narrative news about supporters' riots. This type of research is qualitative descriptive by using narrative analysis of Algridas Greimas' active model.
The narrative news found by the researcher in the Harian Jogja newspaper in terms of supporter violence involving students in Yogyakarta. Kedaulatan Rakyat compiled narrative news by displaying the power of Sultan to build a dialogue so the riots did not tarnish the reputation of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. In Radar Jogja, the written narrative news refers to the role of the security forces in handling incidents of the riot football supporters who act anarchist. At the last, Tribune Jogja tells impartially narrative news of the two teams that competed, using the coherent flow of events, from football match on the field, which results a victory for PSIM 1-0, the riots have happened causing fatalities, then the role of the security forces in handling the case.
