Abstract
The activity of picking shallots is
taken as the main job of women to help their economy in the family. Even though
the work of picking shallots takes time outside the home, but their responsibility to
take care of the household also cannot be abandoned. In this case, picking
laborers must be able to share their role as workers of picking laborers in the
field and as housewives at home. This study aims to determine the outflow of work
time for shallots picking laborers, the factors that influence the outflow of
working time for pickers, and the contribution of household income for shallot
picking laborers to their families income. The study uses primary data from 45
respondents using Cluster Sampling techniques and questionnaires that have been
designed according to the research's objectives. Datas were analyzed using
multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the outpouring of
shallot labor time in Luwungragi Village, Bulakamba Subdistrict, Brebes District
was 272.04 hours / month. Significant factors affecting the outpouring of work
time for picking shallots include wages, and experience. The contribution of
picking shallots to total family income is 56.36% categorized as large
