PENINGKATAN KADAR HEMOGLOBIN DENGAN PEMBERIAN BESI SUKROSA INTRAVENA TERHADAP IBU DENGAN ANEMIA POST PARTUM DI ASRI MEDICAL CENTER
Abstract
Background: Maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is still high. Based on the Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (SKDI) in 2012 found maternal mortality from 359 per 100,000 live births. There are many factors and causes and one of the factor is anemia. Postpartum anemia is a condition of decreased levels of hemoglobin <110 g / L in the mother for 1 week after partus. Postpartum anemia can cause complications on mother and baby. Therefore a proper management that effective and has minimum side effects is required on improving maternal iron status by using intravenous sucrose iron. Which in some studies assessed that its effective and safe when given to the mother and can improve the status of iron in postpartum anemia.
Method: This study used analytic descriptive method with cross sectional approach. The sample was medical record of women with postpartum anemia at Asri Medical Center who met inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data was analyze using Paired T test.
Results: After being given intravenous iron there are mean increase in hemoglobin levels as 1.4 on the 5 th day, 2.3 on day 10, and 3.1 on the 40th day (g / 100 ml). From the bivariate analysis it shows that there is a significant increase of hemoglobin level (P <0,05) and no incidence of side effect on subjects with intravenous sucrose iron.
Conclussions: There is a significant increase in hemoglobin levels both mean and safe statistics are used with minimal side effects
