HUBUNGAN ANTARA KEJADIAN DERMATITIS KONTAK IRITAN DENGAN BERBAGAI FAKTOR RISIKO DI RUMAH SAKIT PKU MUHAMMADIYAH GAMPING YOGY AKARTA PERIODE SEPTEMBER 2016-SEPTEMBER 2017
Abstract
Background: Contact irritant dermatitis (DKI) is a non-immunologic
inflammatory reaction to the skin due to contact with irritant ingredients. DKI can
be suffered by everyone affeced by age, gender, types of job and history of
previous skin disease.
Purpose: To find out the relation between incidence of DKI with various risk
factors in PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital of Yogyakarta.
Methods: This study was an observational analytic study with cross-sectional
study design. The study sampel was patient medical records with DKI at PKU
Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital of Yogyakarta period of September 2016 to
September 2017 taken from medical rexords that meet the inclusion and exclusion
criterias. Data analysis using chi-square test to test the relationship or influence
of 2 nominal variables and measure the relationship strength between these
variables, and logistic regression to test whether the possibility of DKI occuring
can be predicted with age, gender, types of job and history of previous skin
disease.
Results: The bivariate analysis shows that there are no relations between age
(p=0,163; OR=1,710; 95% CI 0,805-3,633), gender (p=0,258; OR=1,544; 95%
CI 0,727-3,279) and types of job (p=0,081; OR=0,492; 95% CI 0,222-2,091) with
incidence of contact irritant dermatitis. There is relation between history of
previous skin disease (p=0,000; OR=5,695; 95% CI 2,714-11,950) with incidence
of contact irritant dermatitis.
Conclusion: History of previous skin disease can increase the risk of contact
irritant dermatitis
