PERAN PEMERINTAH JERMAN MELINDUNGI HUTAN UNTUK MITIGASI PERUBAHAN IKLIM MELALUI PROGRAM FORCLIME DI KABUPATEN KAPUAS HULU (INDONESIA) PERIODE 2010-2018
Abstract
Climate change that has happened so far very worrying and important to discuss further. Considering the negative impacts of climate change are beginning to be felt at this time. The main causes of climate change occur due to deforestation of the forest. Indonesia as a developing country is a country with the highest deforestation rate in the world. Deforestation in Indonesia needs to be prevented so that the impact caused by climate change is not getting worse. In terms of climate change mitigation in the Forestry Sector, the Government of Indonesia and the Government of German are committed to joined reducing the emission of greenhouses from the forestry sector.
This thesis will explain the role of German government’s in addressing deforestation and climate change in Indonesia with a case study in Kapuas Hulu District through the Forest and Climate Change Program in Kalimantan. This program ends in 2020 and to date Forclime is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by reducing the rate of deforestation at the site level (District).
