STUDI KOMPARATIF PENDAPATAN USAHATANI MELON DAN SEMANGKA LAHAN PASIR DI DESA BUGEL KECAMATAN PANJATAN KABUPATEN KULONPROGO
Abstract
Melon and watermelon are horticultural plants that are worth selling and have great prospect for the income of the farming community. This research aimed to analyze the difference of production cost, revenue, income, profit and feasibility of farming melon and watermelon sand fields in Bugel Village, Panjatan Subdistrict, Kulon Progo Regency. The total respondents in this research was 41 farmers, consisted of 20 melon farmers and 21 watermelon farmers who were members of the Gisik Pranaji farmer group. Primary data was collected throught interview, and data were analyzed descriptively. The result showed that the highest cost of production was on melon farming Rp 9.953.412,-/planting season. The revenue, income and profits obtained by farmers beetwen of two farms are very different. The income on melon farming is Rp 36.167.512,- and income from watermelon farming is Rp 17.280.938,-. Profits on melon farming amounted to Rp 33.829.520,- and profits from watermelon farming is Rp 15.466.007,-. From the fesibility aspect showed that the labor productivity of melon farming is Rp 1.618.772,-/HKO and watermelon farming is Rp 1.117.986,-/HKO. The capital productivity of melon farming is 4,49% and watermelon farming is 4% with a comparison of the annual loan interest rate of 2,5%/planting season. The land productivity of melon farming is Rp 17.370,-/m² and watermelon farming is Rp 8.159,-/m². The number of R/C Ratio of melon farming is 4,40 and watermelon farming is 4.
