PERBANDINGAN KEAKURATAN PENENTUAN USIA ANTARA METODE DEMIRJIAN DAN METODE CAMERIERE
Abstract
Background: The number of death victims caused by mass disasters or other events needs to be carried out an identification process to find out the identity of the victims. One of the identification processes can be done using dental records in determining individual identity. The method of determining the age of using dental records which is most commonly used is the Demirjian method, and there is a new method in determining age, namely the Cameriere method. An accurate method for determining age is needed to make it easier to assist the identification process so that it is necessary to test the accuracy between the Demirjian method and the Cameriere method to get a better method.
Objective: to compare the accuracy between the Demirjian method and the Cameriere method based on the photo of the panoramic radiograph at RSGM UMY.
Method: The method in this study is descriptive analytics, with a total sample of 95 radiographs from patients aged 4-15 who visited RSGM UMY in 2017. The data analysis in this study was using the Chi-Square Test Test and crosstabulation on spss.
Results: From a total of 95 samples tested in each method, the Demirjian method has an accuracy of 63 samples (66.31%) while the Cameriere method has an accuracy of 49 samples (51.57%).
Conclusion: The Demirjian method is more accurate than the Cameriere method in age determination at UMGM RSGM.
