PENGARUH SALIVA ARTIFISIAL PH NORMAL TERHADAP DAYA LENTING KAWAT BUSUR NIKEL TITANIUM RECTANGULAR DALAM TIGA PENAMPANG BERBEDA
Abstract
Orthodontics is a dental treatment that aims to shape the structure of the
face and improve the arrangement of teeth that are not neat or malocclusion.
Nickel-titanium is one type of wire that is also widely used. The wire used is a
rectangular cross section type nickel-titanium, austenitic type nickel-titanium
orthodontic wire used has a side size of 016 x 022, 017 x 022, and 018 x 022.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of artificial normal
pH saliva on the resilience of nickel-titanium wire. The samples used in this study
were 15 wires which had been immersed in artificial saliva and divided into 3
groups, namely group 1 was a large group side 016 x 022, group 2 is the side size
group 017 x 022, and group 3 is the large size group 018 x 022. Before the sample
is treated, the pre test of resilient power is then carried out then the sample is
repeated again after 4 weeks. After completion, post-test measurements are
carried out. Resilient power measurements using gauge tension.
The paired sample t-test statistical test results showed a value (p <0.05) in
groups 2 and 3 which meant that there was a significant difference in the group
and the one way ANOVA test showed a value (p <0.05) which meant there were
differences significant from each group. Decreasing the value of resilient power
that occurs highest in group 3.
