Traditional markets are places where buyers and sellers meet directly and usually characterized by bargaining. Based on the facts there are main sources causing the fire, connection of electricity, the use of gas cylinders, and other combustible materials. The research is based on Regional Regulation No.11 of 2005 regarding fire safety inspections of building. in the beringharjo traditional market building Yogyakarta has a complete site in the "good" category, reliability of rescue facilities in the "less" category, and so reliability of active protection systems, but reliability of pasive protection systems in the “good” category so that the results of the study thoroughly the maintenance and improvement evaluation of the fire protection system in the beringharjo traditional market building Yogyakarta is 83.19%, KSKB 80% <NKSKB>100% is “WELL”.
