| dc.description | Background: Low Birth Weight Babies (LBW) is the highest predictor of infant mortality. Pregnancy less than 37 weeks (premature) is a major cause of LBW which is at risk of experiencing hypoglycemia because it has lower glycogen deposits. This research was conducted t o determine the relationship between gestational age and the incidence of hypoglycemia in LBW.
Methods: This research was an analytic observational study with a cross sectional design. The sample of this study was all LBW infants with hypoglycemia. This s tudy used a sample of 52 respondents who were patients in the children's polyclinic of Harapan Anda Hospital, Tegal City in December 2018 - January 2019. The sampling technique used was purposive total sampling. Data retrieval is done by looking at the patient's medical records at the children's polyclinic. Data in the form of premature and quite month gestational age, LBW, and hypoglycemia were analyzed using Chi Square test, while to determine the relationship of variables can be seen from the correlat ion coefficient.
Result: M others who gave birth to low birth weight babies both prematurely and normally were as many as 52 cases. Hypoglycemic infants who met the criteria were 27 cases (51.9%) and infants without hypo gly cemia were 25 cases (48.1%). There was no significant relationship indicated by the value (p > 0.05) between gestational age and the incidence of hypoglycemia in LBW. Chi Square correlation coefficient of 0.157 (0,00 - 0,199) shows that the closeness of the relationship between gestat ional age and the incidence of hypoglycemia in LBW includes very weak.
Conclusion: T here is no relationship between gestational age and the incidence of hypoglycemia in LBW at Harapan Anda Hospital, Tegal City. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Latar Belakang: Bayi Berat Lahir Rendah (BBLR) merupakan prediktor tertinggi angka kematian bayi. Kehamilan kurang dari 37 minggu (prematur) merupakan penyebab utama terjadinya BBLR. BBLR yang berisiko mengalami hipoglikemia karena BBLR memiliki simpanan glikogen yang lebih rendah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan usia kehamilan dengan kejadian hipoglikemia pada BBLR.
Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Sampel penelitian ini adalah semua bayi BBLR dengan hipoglikemia. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebanyak 52 responden yang merupakan pasien di poliklinik anak Rumah Sakit Harapan Anda Kota Tegal pada bulan Desember 2018 – Januari 2019. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah p u r p o s i v e t o t a l s a m p li n g . Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan melihat rekam medik pasien di poliklinik anak. Data berupa usia kehamilan prematur dan cukup bulan, BBLR, dan hipoglikemia dianalisis menggunakan uji C h i S q u a r e , sedangkan untuk menentukan keeratan hubungan kedua variabel dilihat dari koefesien korelasinya.
Hasil: Ibu yang melahirkan bayi berat lahir rendah baik prematur maupun normal adalah sebanyak 52 kasus. Didapatkan bayi hipoglikemia yang memenuhi kriteria adalah sebanyak 27 kasus (51,9%) dan bayi tidak hipolikemia sebanyak 25 kasus (48,1%). Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan (p > 0,05) antara usia kehamilan dengan kejadian hipoglikemia pada BBLR. Nilai koefisien korelasi Chi Square sebesar 0,157 menunjukkan bahwa keeratan hubungan antara usia kehamilan dengan kejadian hipoglikemia pada BBLR sangat lemah.
Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan antara usia kehamilan dengan kejadian hipoglikemia pada BBLR di RS Harapan Anda Kota Tegal. | en_US |
