KERENTANAN BANGUNAN RUMAH NON-ENGINEERED TERHADAP GEMPA DI DAERAH SEWON BANTUL
Abstract
An earthquake is one of the most disastrous disasters with a large impact
and can even cause casualties and the disaster is difficult to predict. Sewon
Subdistrict, Bantul Regency is one of the areas prone to earthquakes. Evidently in
the May 27, 2006 earthquake the damage was very severe. The purpose of this
study, among others, was to determine the vulnerability of buildings in nonengineering
buildings
in
Sewon
Subdistrict,
Bantul
Regency
which
included
such
as
to
find
out
the
construction
of
non-engineering
houses
in
Sewon
Subdistrict,
Bantul
Regency
according
to
or
fulfill
the
regulatory
and
constitutional
requirements
. The
method
used
in
this
study
is
a
descriptive
method
by
directly
observing
the
field
using
existing
primary
and secondary
data
and questionnaires
on
workers
and implementers,
then
also
observing
the
way
development
is
carried
out
by
workers
in
the
location.
From
the
results
of
the
research
that
has
been
done,
there
are
still
many
houses
that
are
not
very
earthquake
prone,
the
vulnerability
of
this
building
is
in
the
structure
of
the
building
and roof
truss
of
the
building.
Moreover,
the
vulnerability
of
buildings
in
these
areas
is
due
to
the
poor
development
carried
out
by
workers,
such
as
a lack
of
understanding
and
experience
of
workers
regarding
the
practice
of
building
earthquake-resistant
houses
and lack
of
government
oversight
of
this.
