KEHARMONISAN KELUARGA IBU RUMAH TANGGA DAN IBU WANITA KARIR PADA KOMUNITAS HIJABERS MOM KETAPANG
Abstract
The family is a small unit in a society environment. Basically, all moslem
families dream for having a harmonious family eventhough some of them (the
wives) in this era also build their own carriers outside their houses. Considering
the big number of the working mothers in the Mom Hijabers Community
Ketapang, the researcher was interested in finding out the harmony comparison in
a family between housewives and working mothers to measure the harmony
within a family.
This research used qualitative approach with descriptive analysis
technique through the presentation in the form of descriptive data. The data
collection technique covered observation, interview, and documentation. This
research was conducted among housewives and working mothers enlisted in the
committee of Mom Hijabers Community Ketapang.
This research shows that working mothers enlisted in the committee
of Mom Hijabers Community Ketapang have a quite high harmony level
compared to the housewives. In addition, they also have a quite high religiousity
in which they are Muslims who are obedient in doing their prayers and obedient to
their husbands in reaching happiness. The other findings show that the
housewives have adequate time portion for their family while the working
mothers will prioritize their families if there are urgent matters. The working
mothers also have a not bad interaction pattern eventhough there are things
requiring improvements. The attitude of respecting each other is reflected from
the daily habit of the wives who are willing to help their husbands when the
husbands are tired or they tend to succumb to their husband when there is a
misunderstanding. The unity in this case is very good in which the husbands and
wives complete each other. In the term of prioritizing household matters, the
participants who are working mothers often prefer to take a leave or skip outside
town duties due to their familial obligation to take care their children and
husbands.
