KONSEP ADAB DAN STRATEGI PENCARI ILMU DALAM KITAB HILYAH THALIB AL-‘ILMI
Abstract
The objective of this research is to analyze the concept of learner culture and strategy as depicted in the Book of Hilyah Thalib al-‘Ilmi by Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zaid. The type of the research was library research, whilst the approach used was qualitative research since the research is aimed at describing and analyzing the concept of learner culture and strategy. The primary source taken as the reference was the Book of Hilyah Thalib al-‘Ilmi by Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zaid. The data was compiled through documentation and was analyzed using descriptive analysis.
The result of the research indicated that: 1) The concept of learner culture and strategy according to Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zaid includes four attitudes. Learner attitude covers: Intention, fear of Allah, character of muru’ah (humane) and diligent. Learner attitude toward teacher covers: keeping teacher’s honor, respecting teacher and taking note of teacher’s explanation. The learner attitude on socializing includes being cautious when interacting with bad friends. Lastly, the learner scientific attitude covers: owning high goal, retaining knowledge by keeping notes, maintaining the Qur’an recitation, sharpening understanding, and begging for help from Allah. 2) Learner strategies according to Bakr bin Abdullah Abu Zaid are memorizing courses material, learning subject gradually, and having teacher to guide.
