PENGARUH PRAKTIK PENGALAMAN LAPANGAN (PPL) TERHADAP KOMPETENSI GURU PADA MAHASISWA PRODI PAI ANGKATAN 2015 DI UMY
Abstract
This research aims to: (1) find out how the implementation of Teaching Practicum (Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan-PPL) in Islamic Education Study Program, (2) elaborate the teacher competence of Islamic Education students, (3) find out if there is any influence of Teaching Practicum activity toward teacher competence on Islamic Education students Batch 2015 in UMY.
This research was descriptive quantitative. The setting chosen for this research was Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta with random sampling of 20-25% of the total respondents. There were 43 out of 125 students were chosen. The data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation as the instruments. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistic analysis and linear regression test.
The research results show that (1) the counting result of the teaching practicum implementation using descriptive statistic analysis through the aspects of lesson plan, personality, social, pedagogical, and professional as well, there are 43 students found in the aspect of lesson plan is categorized as very good that is 91%. (2) The result of the counting of teacher competence using descriptive statistic analysis finds that among four aspects of pedagogical, personality, social, and professional, 43 subjects have the highest score in the aspect of personality that is 100%. (3) There is a significant influence of teaching practicum toward the teacher competence on Islamic Education students batch 2015 in UMY that is 67.3%. It results from 0.673 x 100% = 67.3%. In addition, to find out another factor which is gained from 100% - 67.3% = 32.7% that is from micro teaching activity.
