KERJASAMA SEKOLAH DENGAN MASYARAKAT DALAM MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PENDIDIKAN DI SD NEGERI SEMARANGAN 5
Abstract
The research aimed at (1) learning the awareness between SD Negeri Semarangan 5 and Society in building cooperation, (2) learning the forms of cooperation between SD Negeri Semarangan 5 and society, (3) learning the obstacles faced by SD Negeri Semarangan 5 and society in maintaining the cooperation.
The type of the research is descriptive qualitative. The location of the research is SD Negeri Semarangan 5 and the areas around the school. The subject of the research is The Principal of SD Negeri Semarangan 5, the head of the school committee, the treasurer of the school committee, the head of RW (Rukun Warga – neighbourhood), the head of Lembaga Permusyawaratan Masyarakat Daerah (LPMD – local public consultative institution), and the parents. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. The data were analysed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion making.
The research result illustrates (1) There is awareness of school and society in building cooperation in order to improve the quality of education at SD Negeri Semarangan 5. (2) The form of the cooperation between SD Negeri Semarangan 5 and society in educative relationship is about the progress of the students and the efforts to supply learning facilities. However, it is not at the maximum level yet. The cultural relationship to improve the local culture is not yet built yet. Therefore, the satisfaction, excitement, and the increase of society’s interests and expectations as the education customers are not fulfilled yet. Thus, it can be stated that the education at SD Negeri Semarangan 5 is not yet qualified since it has not met the standards yet. (3) The obstacle faced by SD Negeri Semarangan 5 and Society is in term of communication. Therefore it is capable of creating disputes.
