PSIM and PSS are the football clubs based in Yogyakarta. On July 26, 2018, the match between PSS and PSIM took place at Sultan Agung Stadium, Bantul. In the outside of the stadium there was a chaos between the support teams which resulted in dozens of people being injured and even causing death. Because of this, local newspapers in Yogyakarta interested to make the incident news on newspaper headlines for three consecutive days after the riots. In this research, the writer try to uncover how is the framing of local newspapers like Kedaulatan Rakyat, Tribun Jogja, Radar Jogja, Harian Jogja dan Koran Merapi. This research also finding about any factor influence the framing of a news. The type of research is qualitative, the writer use a framing analysis with the William A. Gamson model. Five of local newspapers that have been mentioned, all of them are local newspapers from Yogyakarta, but several of the local newspapers are the result of media conglomerate from outside of Yogyakarta. This research, have found several finding in each newspapers local. First, Harian Jogja’s framing with the supporter violence involving student. Second, Radar Jogja framing with contradiction peace of elite vs riot on grassroot. Third, Kedaulatan Rakyat framing is stained peace. Fourth, Harian Merapi framing with violence of supporters in the area of crime. And the last one is Tribun Jogja framing with supporter violence as a threat. The frame of the news is influenced by internal media organizations like deadline, organizational identity, and organizational routines. While from external organizations like audiences, advertisers, relation between media organizations and outside parties, and news sources.
