Gairaigo is a loan word that comes from a foreign language and is written in katakana letters.The most widely used gairaigo in Japan is gairaigo which comes from English. Along with its development, some gairaigo have changed in terms of its meaning. This study has analyzed the changes of meaning that occur on gairaigo. The research method used in this study is qualitative descriptive method. The research subject in this study is gairaigo which has changed in terms of meaning and comes from English in the April 2018 edition of Mina magazine. Meanwhile, in collecting data the researcher used taking note method. The results of this study is there are 34 gairaigo that have changed in terms of their meaning, that consisting of 24 nouns, four verbs, three adjectives, and three combinations of verbs and nouns. Based on the data has been analyzed, there are eight gairaigo whose meanings change more broadly, 18 gairaigo the meaning changes to narrow, and eight gairaigo whose meaning changes completely.
