ANALISIS PENGGUNAAN UNGKAPAN MENGINGATKAN OLEH PEMBELAJAR BAHASA JEPANG BERDASARKAN GENDER
Abstract
This study aims to analyze variations of reminding expressions in Japanese language that are used by Japanese language students by gender. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with sociolinguistic and pragmatic point of view. In this study, the data were collected by using ‘Simak Bebas Libat Cakap’ technique (Uninviolved Conversation Observation Technique). The analysis was carried out using data obtained from the third year students of the Japanese Language Education Department of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, the third year students of Japanese Literature Department of Gadjah Mada University, and the second year students of the Japanese Language Department of Vocational School of Gadjah Mada University (UGM Vocational School) and with situations when reminding them borrow an item. Data analysis in this study was carried out through three activities that occurred simultaneously namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. The results of the study showed that there were eight types of remininding expressions spoken by Japanese learners, namely, (wasurenaide kudasai, wasurenaide, wasurenai yo, karitte kudasai, wasurenaide motte kite ne, ashita motte wasurenaide, ashita motte kite kudasai ne, and motte kudasai) and variations of reminding expressions used by Japanese language learners by gender or by male and female speakers, namely, to male speakers to men, is obtained by six expressions of the form of wasurenaide kudasai, five expressions of wasurenaide form, and one expression of the form ashita motte kite kudasai. For male speakers to women, five wasurenaide form expressions were obtained, four wasurenaide kudasai form expressions, and one ashita motte wasurenaide expression. For female speakers to women, there were four wasurenaide form expressions, five wasurenaide kudasai form expressions, two wasurenai yo form expressions, one wasurenaide motte kite expression form, and two karitte kudasai form expressions. For female speakers to men, there were five expressions of the form of wasurenaide kudasai, four expressions of the form of wasurenaide, two expressions of the form of wasurenai yo, one expression of the form wasurenaide motte kite, and one expression of the form motte kudasai
