KAJIAN EKSPERIMENTAL TENTANG PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN CDI DAN KARBURATOR RACING TERHADAP UNJUK KERJA MESIN 4 –LANGKAH SEPEDA MOTOR HONDA SUPRA 125 CC
Abstract
Every year, owners of both car and motorcycle keep increasing significantly. Some advantages are offered by every variant of latest motorcycle. But, along with those advantages, there are some disadvantages as well. For example 4-step motorcycle has some advantages such as large power, small vibration, and low fuel comsumtion. Behind those advantages, 4-step motorcycle also has some disadvantages such as fast lubricant oil change, complicated components, and its difficult maintenance the power, the torque, and fuel range using variations of the CDI and Carburetor.
Test is done to find out the power, torque, and fuel range of Honda Supra 125 cc performance. Power and torque testing are done by using Dynamometer. While fuel range testing is done by riding the motorcycle along 4 km with 60 km/hour of speed. The data retrieval method of power and torque is done by using spontaneous throtle of engine speed 4250 rpm. The spontaneous throtle step is started by entering transmission gear from 1 to 3.
The study result shows that the highest power is obtained at CDI BRT Racing Dualband type with v 28 mm Racing Carburetor, which produces power in the amount of 10,86 HP at speed engine of 8304 rpm. The lowest power is obtained in the Standard CDI test with Standard Carburetor which produces power of 6,53 HP at speed engine of 6039 rpm. The highest torque is obtained in CDI BRT Racing Dualband test with v 28 mm Racing Carburetor. Which produce torque of 9,89 N.m at speed range of 5592 rpm. The lowest torque is obtained in CDI BRT Racing Dualband test with Standard Carburetor which produces torque of 8,63 N.m at speed engine of 5182 rpm. From the test of fuel range, the farthest is in CDI BRT Racing Dualband use with Standard Carburetor of 55 km/l. The closest fuel range is in Standard CDI type with Carburetor Racing v 28 mm of 47,8 km/l.
