FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KEMENANGAN HARIYADI SUYUTI DAN HEROE POERWADI DALAM PILKADA KOTA YOGYAKARTA TAHUN 2017
Abstract
Haryadi Suyuti and Imam Priyono who’s in the 2011 until 2016 period officiate as Mayor
and Deputy Mayor in Yogyakarta, competed to win voters' sympathies in the Yogyakarta
City Election in 2017. As Mayor Haryadi Suyuti was often criticized by the public because of
the rise in hotel development. However, Haryadi Suyuti was successfully won elected as
Mayor by winning 100.332 or 50,30 percent of the votes. This study aims to determine the
factors that influence the victory of Haryadi Suyuti and Heroe Poerwadi in the Yogyakarta
City Election in 2017. By using descriptive qualitative methods, research data were obtained
through interviews and documentation. The results of this study are if viewed from political
capital, Haryadi figure who is the Mayor of Petahana provides benefits because he can access
all needed resources such as bureaucracy, politics, and information. Other factors, the
Haryadi-Heroe pair is supported by many Political Parties namely 6 Political parties with 24
seats in the DPRD out of 40 seats in the Yogyakarta City DPRD. Haryadi-Heroe has a good
social capital namely: Haryadi-Heroe managed to answer the issue of hotel licensing by
offering a work program providing green open space, Haryadi-Heroe is also supported by
adequate social networks such as; Muhammadiyah, Indonesian Family Home and Young
Pena Movement. The total campaign funds of Haryadi-Heroe are Rp.344,030,000. Haryadi-
Heroe entrusted Tri Kirana Muslidatun and RKI as influencers to win the votes of women
voters, Pena Muda Movement to win young voters, the Haryadi-Heroe success team also
benefited because in the coalition there were many Muhammadiyah cadres so that they could
more easily win voters' sympathies from among Muhammadiyah, and in delivering the
Haryadi-Heroe campaign message to meet the people directly and also advertise in print and
electronic media.
