KINERJA DINAS SOSIAL DALAM PENANGANAN ANAK JALANAN DI KABUPATEN BANTUL 2017-2018
Abstract
In 2017 the number of street children in Bantul Regency was 82 people, Yogyakarta City was 78 people, Gunungkidul Regency was 64 people, Kulonprogo Regency was 43 people and Sleman Regency was 60 people (Yogyakarta Provincial Social Service, 2017). In 2018 the number of street children in Bantul Regency was greater than other districts in DI Yogyakarta Province, which amounted to 114 people, Yogyakarta City was 80 people, Gungkidul District was 72 people, Kulonprogo Regency was 49 people and Sleman District was 60 people (DIY Provincial Social Service, 2018). To overcome the problems of street children, it is the government's duty to guide and foster children's welfare in ensuring the growth and development of their physical, spiritual and social aspects. The program for tackling street children that has been carried out by the government of Bantul Regency is through the Social Welfare Service and Rehabilitation Program. The programs compiled in the planning document every five years experience a change in the name of the program but have the same target, so the study of this study will deepen the program held by the government to tackle street children in Bantul Regency. The program is as a determination of actions to solve the problems faced, so that the program is a type of plan that is arranged more concretely, it contains a set of different activities but leads to one common goal.
This type of research is qualitative descriptive, which provides an overview of the problems studied related to the performance of the Social Service in the Street Children Handling Program in Bantul Regency.
The results of the study showed that the performance of the Social Service Office of Bantul Regency was viewed from 4 indicators, namely efficiency, effectiveness, fairness and responsiveness. From these 4 indicators it can be concluded that the performance of the Bantul District Social Service in handling street children is still not good, because in reality there are still some street children spread in Bantul Regency as evidenced by an increase in the number of street children back. Factors that influence the performance of the Social Service in handling street children in Bantul Regency are individual factors, leadership factors and teamwork factors. These three factors have a significant influence on the performance of the Bantul District Social Service and the three factors have been carried out quite well.
