PENANGGULANGAN TERORISME DI INDONESIA PASCA PERISTIWA BOM BALI DAN RELASINYA TERHADAP ISU HAM
Abstract
The issue of terrorism began to emerge in Indonesia since a series of
bomb attacks began in the 2000s. The issue is getting stronger because
of the events of 9/11 in the United States which became a monumental
phenomenon of terrorism at the international level, as well as the 2002
Bali bombing attacks at the national level. The Indonesian government
has made anti-terrorism legal instruments, and in the implementation of
counter-terrorism the Indonesian government uses two approaches,
namely the repressive approach (carried out by Densus 88 forces in the
face of suspected terrorists) and a soft approach (deradicalization) as
an effort to prevent and act against people those who are exposed to
radicalism and terrorism. This study seeks to find out what factors
influence the Indonesian government in determining the choice of steps
in response to the issue of terrorism after 9/11. This dissertation research
uses qualitative methods. The data used in this study were obtained from
two sources. First is library research, and the second is data obtained
from interviews. The findings in this study indicate the fact that in the
international world norms have developed "war on terror" after the
events of 9/11. The Indonesian government is on the global agenda on
"war on terror", and has made counter-terrorism policies at the national
level. As for what influences the Indonesian government in the process
of combating terrorism, among others are: persuasion from large
countries, the influence of the United Nations, the influence of
international norms, which shape the perception of the Indonesian
government in understanding the threat of terrorism, which then forms
Indonesia's national interest in overcoming terrorism .
