Psychosomatic can trigger blood vessel system disease, which is proven to contribute to the high world mortality, also in Indonesia and Yogyakarta. Psychosomatic is a serious but often neglected disease. Many experts recommend a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach but found the most important and practical health education. While Prophetic Therapy consisting of Qur'an Therapy, Ruqyah, Dhikr, Prayer, Hijamah, and Herba, is proven since ancient times until postmodern is still used and developed in many countries with various climates, cultures, and religions. But its relation to Health Education and its therapeutic benefits for Psychosomatic has never been found.
This qualitative research aims to find out the concepts of health education in the practice of Prophetic Therapy (PT) and its applications for treating psychosomatic disorders. Through library studies and field studies found the idea of Prophetic Therapy is a core part of the Islamic Human Psychotherapy model which ideally has the task to educate, develop, build character, maintain the health of the nafs-jazadiyah (psycho-soma), develop faith and save the soul to achieve health and 'afiat and the achievement of ultimate happiness. The meaning of PT can be the right choice for treating psychosomatic diseases. The underlying Tawheed paradigm is the main characteristic that distinguishes it from other psychotherapy.
Prophetic therapy, which includes health education, is a comprehensive intervention. This integral-transcendental treatment model has been explained for 1.5 millennia by historical facts and scientific research. The model can synergize with medical treatment systems to treat psychosomatic disorders. PBI can collaborate with the IIMF (International Islamic Medicine Foundation), various Hattra (Traditional Health), and Battra (Traditional Therapies Association), as well as support from the Yankestrad-Health Service-Ministry of Health. The key is in understanding and realistic-objective-rational-proportional attitude. In this way, the protection for the client (patient) and the therapist maintained. The placement and utilization of Prophetic therapy are undoubtedly strategic and safe for the achievement of equitable and independent Indonesian public health development.
