Psikologi Sabar dalam Tafsir Al-Misbah
Abstract
Patience becomes a major human need and moral value in living a life full of challenges and trials. The purpose of this research is to find out: (1) The concept of patience in Tafsi>r al-Miṣba>h}, (2) The relationship of patience with personality in Tafsi>r al-Miṣba>h}, (3) The relationship of patients with psychological well-being in Tafsi>r al-Miṣba>h} (4) The relevance of the concept of patience in Tafsi>r al-Miṣba>h} with Islamic education. This study uses a text study approach with the interpretation method of mauḍū'i as well as data analysis with a descriptive analysis of patient verses in Tafsi>r al-Miṣba>h} by M. Quraish Shihab volumes 1-15 as well as several M. Quraish Shihab books to find the concept of patience in psychological perspective Islamic education and enriched with several other works of literature related to patience.
It was found that patients require endurance to face something difficult, severe, bitter, which must be accepted and faced with full responsibility. Patience is to hold back or limit the soul from its desires in order to achieve something good or better. The psychological values of patience in Tafsi>r al-Miṣba>h} have relevance in the development of the main personality, that is first, Muh}sini>n's personality, that is, the attitude of living life earnestly for the good of all. Second, the personality of the mukhbitīn, when called the name of Allah, trembles his heart, is patient with what befalls, resilient in facing difficulties or disturbances, and performs āalāt and exerts his fortune. Third, Muttaqi>n's personality, which is to guard against all kinds of violations and to avoid everything that can cause the wrath of God. Fourth, Iba>d al-Rah}ma>n's personality, which is a calm and humble personality accompanied by authority from the face, grace, optimism, concern, fear of al-Kha>liq, sincerity, openness, simplicity, accepting advice and criticism, family love, environment, and society. And fifth, the personality of the Ribbiyyu>n or Rabbani, who follows the law of God, is not weak, lethargic and gives up. Patience in Tafsi>r al-Miṣba>h} is compatible with psychological well-being theory in positive psychology, especially related to the meaningfulness of life and self-mastery. The relevance of patience with Islamic education especially in the nature of the optimistic nature, cultural discipline and emotional control.
