PENGARUH BERBAGAI MACAM JENIS TANAH TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN JAGUNG (Zea mays L.) KAYA ANTOSIANIN
Abstract
This study aims to study and determine the effect of the most suitable soil
type on the growth and yield of corn (Zea mays L) varieties rich in anthocyanin.
The high level of diabetes and cancer in Indonesia that makes the need for better
alternative food commodities, so as to reduce the level of diabetes and cancer in
Indonesia.
This research was conducted by a single factor experimental method
arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 replications consisting
of 4 treatments as follows: P1 = Regosol dune soil, P2 = Grumusol soil, P3 =
Latosol soil and P4 = Mediterranean soil . Parameters observed were plant height,
number of leaves, canopy dry weight, canopy fresh weight, root fresh weight, root
dry weight, root length, ear weight with cob, ear weight without ear and ear
diameter and ear length and ear length.
The results showed that grumusol soil types tended to have a better effect
on growth parameters and yields of anthocyanin-rich corn varieties can be
cultivated in various types of soil in Indonesia. The results of the parameters that
give a better influence on the grumusol soil in the vegetative phase such as plant
height, number of leaves, leaf area, canopy dry weight, root fresh weight and root
length while the generative phase parameters can be seen from the weight of the
cob without clobot and cob length.
