PENGUKURAN LAJU PENYERAPAN KALOR PADA TANGKI DENGAN KAPSUL BERISI CAMPURAN DAN SERBUK TEMBAGA 10% DENGAN VARIASI FLUKS KALOR
Abstract
Solar Water Heater was a technology that used as a kettle by utilizing the
thermal from solar energy. The media of heat storage in conventional SWH was
water. Meanwhile, water had deficiency as heat storage which its energy density
was low while it needs the larger volume. This research used phase changed
material (PCM) as thermal storage as the solution of the problem. PCM that used
was the mixture of paraffin wax and 10% copper powder which had high energy
density. The aim of this research was to determine temperature evolution,
absorption heat rate in PCM and water, and increased rate of PCM temperature
and water in SWH tank with flux heat variation given that used charging method.
Charging research conducted by using heater as a solar thermal simulator then
the water was streamed by using pump inside of tank in heat flux variation by
arranged regulator voltage in 190 volt, 201 volt, 220 volt, and 227 volt by using
temperature. The data gathered in this research was direction recitation in every
cross section in axial, vertical, and horizontal which would be process to determine
the absorption rate of heat in PCM and water also the increasement of temperature
rate in PCM and water.
The result showed that there was temperature enhancement during charging
process. The value of rate absorption which was got from paraffin wax and 10%
copper powder in latent condition, it showed there was more received energy rather
than rate absorption in sensible condition. The value of paraffin wax and 10%
copper powder absorption was 180,96 joule/s in latent condition while in sensible
condition the highest value of absorption was 44,26 joule/s. The absorption rate of

wax and 10% copper powder in latent condition was showed that the lower
increasement was more accepted rather than sensible. The highest value of
temperature increasement of paraffin wax and 10% copper powder was 13,05
latent condition while in sensible condition the highest increasement was
heat
flux then the absorption rate and enhancement also got higher.
