POLITIK KAUM BANGSAWAN DI KEDATUAN LUWU
Abstract
This study aims to find out what causes the weakening of the nobility of Andi in the City of Palopo in the selection of candidates for mayor and the role of Andi in the political contestation. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The results show that the capital owned by Andi's nobility in Palopo City is first, the social capital built by Andi's nobility has not been carried out in a structured way from relations with the general public, community leaders, with community organizations, to officials in the bureaucracy and most importantly, Political Parties. Second, economic capital is an important thing that is used in the Mayor Election contest in the City of Palopo, Bangsawan Andi figure who escaped as a candidate for mayor does not yet have sufficient capital in terms of economic capital. Economic capital is something that must be owned by candidates who will participate in the contestation, but must be followed by strong support from other capital. Third, the cultural capital owned by Bangsawan andi who escaped as a candidate for mayor is still not enough to have a high bargaining value in political contestation in Palopo City. Kurtural capital comes from all educational qualifications held by Lord Andi, as well as other knowledge. Fourth, the Symbolic Capital is sufficient capital calculated in the mayor election contestation in Palopo City. Nobility obtained from the blood of the descendants of the Luwu kings, only had to be coupled with other capital in order to be elected in political contestation. While Andi's role in the political contestation in the city of Palopo gave quite a lot of influences such as examining the winning team in the general election, becoming a member of the DPRD, the deputy mayor's candidate, and certainly as an adat holder in Palopo City.
