GAMBARAN SELFCONTROL DALAM PERILAKU SEKSUAL PADA REMAJA ISLAM SMP NEGERI DI KOTA YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Background: Self Control is a decision taken by an individual in managing his actions. The phenomenon that is happening now is that there are still many Muslim adolescents who engage in sexual behavior. This is motivated by the absence of a ban from the family to date, not to make religion a guideline in acting and a culture related to the norms / rules around the environment which prohibits premarital sexual behavior.
Purpose: This study aims to describe self control in sexual behavior in Islamic adolescents in state junior high schools in the city of Yogyakarta.
Method: This study uses a non-experimental namely descriptive. The sampling technique in this study used cluster sampling and obtained 4 schools consisting SMPN 1 Yogyakarta, SMPN 4 Yogyakarta, SMPN 13 Yogyakarta and SMPN 14 Yogyakarta. Sampling using proportionate sampling, the total respondents were 107 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire containing 20 questions using a likert scale. The results of the study were analyzed using univariate analysis.
Results: Based on univariate analysis showed self control in sexual behavior that 78 respondents (73%) were in the good category.
Conclusion: It is expected that Muslim adolescents can maintain self control well especially in sexual behavior.
