PENGARUH EKSTRAK TEPUNG TEMPE KEDELAI TERHADAP JUMLAH SEL FIBROBLAS PADA ULKUS TRAUMATIK
Abstract
Background: Estrogen has an important role in regulating the menstrual cycle
and reproduction. Decreased estrogen hormone and secretions from the
hormone progesterone can occur during menopause. The hormone estrogen
can affect vascular permeability that has vasodilation. This change in
permeability can cause bacterial invasion which causes irritation or infection
in the oral cavity and can eventually cause ulcers. The role of fibroblasts on
wound healing is responsible for preparing the production of protein structure
products that will be used in the process of tissue reconstruction. To help
overcome the problem regarding the deficiency of the hormone estrogen,
namely by using phytoestrogen compounds in plants. Phytoestrogens can be
classified as isoflavonoids and lignans. Isoflavones are a group of
phytoestrogens which are similar to chemical structures similar to those of
estrogen in mammals. Phytoestrogens have the same structure and function as
endogenous estrogens. So it can be concluded that phytosterogen can reduce
menopausal symptoms. Besides being able to reduce menopausal symptoms,
the flavonoid content in phytoestrogens can inhibit cyclooxygenase or
lipookigenase and inhibit leukocyte accumulation so that it can become antiinflammatory
in the process of wound healing. Method: This type of research
is Experimental Laboratory in experimental animals with Sprague Dawley rats
totaling 20 individuals divided into 4 treatment groups and 1 control group
observed in several times namely 1 day, 3 days, 5 days and 7 days then seen
changes in cell number fibroblasts in each group with a light microscope with
a magnification of 100x with staining of hematoxylin-eosin (HE). Results: In
the four samples of each treatment group when tested the statistical data
showed that on the seventh day the statistical data showed that the significance
value was 0.748 so that there were no significant differences between the five
groups. Conclusion: There is no effect of soybean flour extract on the number
of fibroblast cells in traumatic ulcers in female Sprague Dawley mice with
estrogen deficiency.
