The transformation of information and technology nowadays, directly changes the dynamic of public relations activity. Now, there are so many profit and non-profit organizations competing to build a good relationship with their public through digital media, including government. This research analyze about the management of social media named “Jogja Istimewa” Apps that used as tools digital public relations Pemda DIY to support an image of smart province in DIY. The objective of this research is to describe the management of “Jogja Istimewa” Apps begining from planning stage, social media activity, social media strategy, implementation until the evaluation stage of management proccess. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with case study approach. The result of the reseacrh showed that “Jogja Istimewa” Apps is an application that integrates all of information and public services in DIY. Application management is implemented by developing several features to support Jogja Smart Province, and also collaboration with developer services, PT. Gamatechno Indonesia to manage and maintenance the application. Meanwhile in the proccess management Dinas Kominfo DIY and Gamatechno also build a team management that consist of team leader, mobile application programmer, application support, administrator and content contributor. Based on the analysis, Jogja Istimewa Apps can’t be called as a social media completly, its just a information and public services platform that adopts social media system.
