There are so many factors that affect the level of student financial literacy. in this study the factors that will be examined come from demographic factors. This research study aims to determine whether gender, cumulative index, duration of study, and place of residence influence financial literacy of students of the Faculty of Economics, Muhammadiyah University, Yogyakarta. This research method is quantitative with data collection techniques and questionnaire instruments. The results of the study show that student financial literacy is influenced by demographic factors such as gender, GPA, length of study, and residency. the results of R Square show the number 24.5%. this is indicated that there are variables outside of these demographic factors that influence financial literacy. The results of this finding are expected to add variables beyond demographic factors.
