      Abstract
      PLN is one of the State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) which is engaged in the electric service provider. In managing good relationships with the community, PT. PLN requires public relations in charge of conducting communication activities within the organization, as well as ensuring the activities are two-way and reciprocal. Media Relations required PLN to socialize the new policy from the government that is the revocation of electricity subsidy 900 VA capable groups. This study is qualitative research with descriptive study method. Namely to provide a detailed overview of media relations strategy that PT PLN (Persero) Area of Yogyakarta in socialize government policies. The result of the research shows that media relations strategy of PT PLN (Persero) Area Yogyakarta in socializing government policy activity is very concern, seen from some activities that obtain PLN with media partner before and after the policy is obtaining. But unfortunately PLN only cognized to media success but not with the direct socialization that obtained by Public Relations PLN to the villages affected by the revocation. PLN also does not arranging a post-socialization evaluation directly to the village.
