Allah SWT has bestowed potentials and capabilities upon every human being since birth. One of the potentials and capabilities possessed is the ability to memorize The Holy Qur’an. Every human being possesses a will to hone or ignore the potentials and capabilities possessed. This differentiates every human being’s level of self-actualization and the ability to memorize The Holy Qur’an. This research aimed at explaining the level of self-actualization; the ability to memorize The Holy Qur’an; as well as how big the effect of self-actualization toward the ability to memorize the holy qur’an of grade x senior high school santriwati in the school year of 2017/2018 at PPM MBS Prambanan Sleman Yogyakarta. The research was conducted using descriptive quantitative approach. The data collecting techniques were observation, questionnaire, interview, and documentation. The population of the research were all grade X Senior High School santriwati (female students of boarding schools) in the school year of 2017/2018 and 36 randomly chosen samples of respondents. The data analysis used was descriptive statistic, correlation test, simple linear regression, and hypothesis test using SPSS 22.0 software. The research result indicated that the self-actualization level of grade X Senior High School santriwati in the school year of 2017/2018 was high with the percentage of 63,89%; the level of ability to memorize The Holy Qur’an of grade X Senior High School santriwati in the school year of 2017/2018 was high with the percentage of 80,56%; and there was significant effect between self-actualization toward the ability to memorize The Holy Qur’an of grade X Senior High School santriwati in the school year of 2017/2018 which was 27,40%.
