PERSEPSI PENGGUNA MEDIA SOSIAL TWITTER TERHADAP PENGGUNAAN TANDA PAGAR #THEPOWEROFSETYANOVANTO
Abstract
Social media is a new form of public sphere which effective used to exchange informations, ideas, and thought. Twitter is one of social media which actively used in Indonesia. The topic was growing and many discussed by Twitter users will be trending topic. Usually, a trending topic on Twitter framed in hashtag. The hashtag on Twitter became a phenomenon that was given a different meaning by Twitter users. The research objective is to know the perception and factors forming perceptions of Twitter users against the use of the hashtag #ThePowerofSetyaNovanto. The selection of the hashtag #ThePowerofSetyaNovanto is because on the 29nd September-2nd October 2018 had become a trending topic.
The method that researchers are taking is qualitative descriptive. Retrieval techniques informants in this study using accidental sampling. The result of the study concluded that the use of the hashtag #ThePowerofSetyaNovanto interpreted as a form of the disappointment of the netizen. Conclusion in this research is all of the informants agreed with the use of the hashtag that made the joke satire. However, each informant interpret each of the questions who became the subject of research differently according to interpretation. Factors that affect the perception of Twitter users agains the use hashtag is compossed of the functional factor and structural factor.
