This study purposed to describe how Kedaulatan Rakyat and Tribun Jogja reported the conflict issue caused by the development project of New Yogyakarta International Airport in Temon, Kulon Progo. To answer the questions research, the Van Dijk model of critical discourse analysis was used in qualitative research approach. The data collection technique used document analysis. The results revealed the very significant difference in Kedaulatan Rakyat and Tribun Jogja text about the conflict issue caused by the development project of New Yogyakarta International Airport in Temon, Kulon Progo. Kedaulatan Rakyat seemed aligned to PT. Angkasa Pura I. Otherwise, Tribun Jogja seemed aligned to residents who reject the airport development project. The same findings appeared from social context. Kedaulatan Rakyat seemed to discredit the residents who reject the airport development project. On the other side, Tribun Jogja seemed to discredit the actions which are conducted by PT. Angkasa Pura I and the security forces related to the development project of New Yogyakarta International Airport in Temon, Kulon Progo.
