PEMBIASAAN SHALAT DHUHA DALAM PEMBINAAN AKHLAK PADA SISWA KELAS V SD IT INSAN UTAMA KASIHAN BANTUL
Abstract
The aims of this study are; 1) to investigate the process of character building by habituating the fifth-grade students of SD IT Insan Utama Kasihan Bantul to do dhuha prayer; 2 to investigate the impact of the habituation in term of character building; 3) to investigate the determinant factors that support or hinder the process of habituation.
This study is qualitative research where the process is analysed using inductive reasoning method. The approach of this study is descriptive which means it seeks to describe the process of habituation to do dhuha prayer among the fifth-grade students of SD IT Insan Utama Kasihan Bantul as a from of character building. Data are collected through observation, interview, and documentation. The steps of data analysis are; data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusion, and verification.
Results of this study indicate that; (1) the process of habituating dhuha prayer in SD IT Insan Utama Kasihan Bantul is carried out without any major hindrance. The dhuha prayer is held collectively (jamaah) or individually every day from Monday to Friday on 07.15 WIB. However, some students do dot participate seriously; (2) there impact of the habituation on the character building of the students is positive, for they are accustomed to have good attitude toward Allah, the Qur’an and their peers. Furthermore, the process increases their religiosity and develop good personality; (3) factors that support the process of habituation are the motivation of the teachers, parents, the students and the availability of infrastructure. Whereas the hindrance also come from the teacher as well as the students.
