KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMASIONAL KEPALA SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUAN MUHAMMADIYAH (SMK M) PRAMBANAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN MUTU SUMBER DAYA MANUSIA
Abstract
This research aims to: (1) Analyzing transformational leadership of
Headmasters of Muhammadiyah Vocational High School (SMK M) Prambanan in
increasing human resources quality in three different leadership period, (2)
Identifying the transformation of human resources in SMK Muhammadiyah
Prambanan. The research approach used here is descriptive analytical qualitative.
The reseach took place in SMK Muhammadiyah Prambanan Sleman Regency,
Special Region of Yogyakarta. The data collection techniques used were
observation, in-depth interview and documentations. Data analysis techniques use
the Miles and Huberman models with 4 stages.
Based on the results, the writer can conclude: (1) Transformational
leadership conducted by the headmasters of Muhammadiyah Vocational High
School (SMK M) Prambanan increasing human resources quality in three
different leadership period is by changing in the institution’s potential into energy
to increase teacher’s quality that has direct implications on increasing students’
quality to improve the school education quality. (2) Different transformation
conducted by the headmasters in three different leadership periods is by
maximizing the leadership role in increasing human resources quality, in
planning the future, and developing new ideas. These actions are conducted in
very good ways, namely: communicating vision, developing the culture of quality,
and empowering the teachers, Who synergizes with the government and
Muhammadiyah Organization as well for the the professionalism area of its main
teacher.
