Abstract
Lamps and exhausts are main components that must equip motorcycles. Motorcycle manufacturers have designed exhaust gas systems and bulb headlights from the motorbikes they produce. But many people replace the modification with a racing exhaust, and the main lights are replaced with LED lights. This causes noise that is high enough to disturb the hearing of the people and increase the intensity of light. Based on the above review, research on light exposure characteristics and modified exhaust sound exposure needs to be done, to see if it complies with Law Number 55 of 2012 concerning Vehicles, and Minister of Environment No. 7 of 2009 concerning New Type of Motor Vehicle Noise Threshold.
The method of light intensity research is to use standard lamp conditions and 3-sided LED, angle 00, +50, -50, filament at close and far distances, distances of 3m, 4m, 5m, 10m and multiples of 5m to a distance of 100m, measurement position SK = 0 meters, SK 2 meters, SK 3 meters. The materials used in this study are: 2013 CW Honda Beat F1 Motorcycle, 3-Sided LED Lights, Racing Exhaust and Glasswool. For the tools used are: Lux Meter, Sound Level Meter, Anemometer, Waterpass, Measuring Roller, Measuring Pole, Tripod, and Digital Scales.
The results of the study obtained for the standard light intensity are smaller than LED lights. The angle of the lamp with the reflector angle 00 produces the best and evenest light from a distance of 3-45 meters. Exposure to the light from the +50 reflector angle is too high upwards so it has the potential to dazzle other drivers, and exposure to light from the angle of the -50 reflector is too low. The measurement position of SK = 0 meters gets the highest light exposure because it is in a straight line with the light source (motorcycle lights), while SK = 2 meters and 3 meters only exposed to reflected light. For the results of the standard exhaust noise intensity with a value of 61.9 dB and the highest exhaust exhaust noise of 66.8 db with 128 grams of glasswool, this result is still below the noise threshold value, which is 80 db for a motorcycle with an engine capacity of <175cc according to MenLH No. 07 of 2009 concerning the New Type of Motor Vehicle Noise Threshold.
