COUNTER TERHADAP ISLAMOPHOBIA DALAM FILM AYAT-AYAT CINTA 2
Abstract
A film is one of the media that used as a medium of da'wah by the director in delivering
messages to the audience. Through a film, a director can incorporate religious values to be
imitated by the audience through dialogues between characters in the scene. As with Guntur
Soeharjanto with his bestseller film work, Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2. Therefore, this research aims to
analyze Islamophobia in the film to know how to counter Islamophobia itself. The benefits of this
study directed to the public so they can pay attention and choose the right way to convey
messages to others. Furthermore, this research is expected to provide recommendations on the
use of media to support good Islamic broadcasting. This study uses a qualitative approach. The
analysis used is Roland Barthes's semiotic analysis with its signified and signifier and the
connotation and denotation meanings
