KONSEP INTEGRASI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DAN SAINS MENURUT ISMA’IL RAJI AL-FARUQI
Abstract
This research aims at revealing and describing the integration concept of Islam and science education according to Isma’ilRaji al- Faruqi, as well as finding out its the implication towards education in Indonesia.
This research is library research in nature. The data collection technique was documentation by collecting them from primary and secondary resources. The data analysis method was descriptive analytic with historical- philosophical approach.
In the conclusion of this scientific work, the integration concept of Islam and science education according to Isma’ilRaji al- Faruqi is by integrating both of them so that there is no dichotomy in science. The integration of Islam and science has impact on education in Indonesia, namely in curriculum, that can be seen from the syllabus making, i.e. epistemology and ethics in teaching learning process. Meanwhile, in religion and social education, with this integrative point of view, students will more respect religion diversity and think universally.
