dc.description | Octopus Studio Printing is one of the printing screen service businesses in the city of Yogyakarta. From the search results, Octopus researchers experienced an increase in turnover from year to year. This is the background of the author to study Instagram social media activities by Octopus printing studio as a promotional tool. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative to reveal the events of Instagram activities as promotional tools for octopus printing studios in 2017. The data sources in this study are interviews and documentation. Interviews were conducted on two informants and documentation in the form of activity reports and photographs that were evidence of the promotional activities carried out. The results of the study show that Instagram can be used as a promotional tool to increase sales turnover because of its broad nature not limited to space and time. Planning is done by determining interesting post content and messages that can connect users widely. In the implementation of the promotion carried out by managing the Instagram account homepage, uploading content containing finished products from customer orders, content that contains the product production process and content that contains the variety of products offered, Octopus Studio Printing is also active in marketing directly to the target market by utilizing features direct message on Instagram account. Evaluation phase. In this case Octopus Studio Printing already has a routine schedule for implementation and there are also clear indicators that are the evaluation material every month. So it can be concluded that the management of Instagram as a Marketing Communication Tool has been well done by Octopus Studio Printing in the aim of increasing sales turnover in 2017. | en_US |
