PERBEDAAN SIKAP DAN PENGETAHUAN TENTANG KESEHATAN GIGI DAN MULUT ANTARA METODE PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF JIGSAW DENGAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN KONVENSIONAL
Abstract
Dental and oral health were commonly being unnoticed by most of the people in the community. The effort to improve dental and oral health in the community including provide information about dental and oral health have to be started earlier. The learning method to provide information about dental and oral health such as jigsaw cooperative learning method and conventional learning method. The goal of this research was to determine the differences between attitude and knowledge about dental and oral health of jigsaw cooperative learning method and conventional learning method.
This study was quasy experimental with non-randomized control group pre-test and post-test design. Sixty eight subject of this research are student aged 10 to 11 years old from Muhammadiyah Suronatan Elementary School, Yogyakarta, that divided into group A (Jigsaw learning method/intervention; N:36) and group B (Conventional learning method /control; N:32). Each subject filled the questionnaire before and after the intervention. The research data was analyzed using paired t-test and independent sample t-test.
The result of this study showed that there were significant differences (p<0,05) in attitude and knowledge of dental and oral health between jigsaw cooperative learning method and conventional learning method. In conclusion, there were significant differences in attitude and knowledge about dental and oral health in this study.
