      Abstract
      This study aims to explore, comprehend, and describe the perspective of the general principles of Islamic economics on the practice of hajj and umrah financing through a system of multi-level marketing. This research is also expected to provide a conceptual contribution to the treasury of muamalat (Islamic finance) science particularly on the implementation of the concept and policy which have the theme of Islam economic in Indonesia. The type of research used in this thesis is the library research and in collecting the data the researcher used the method of documentation. While the analysis used in this study is a qualitative analysis. After conducting in-depth study, the results showed that the multi-level marketing practices that exist on the financing of hajj and umrah is less in accordance with the general principles of Islamic economics. In addition, these practices have more risk of mudharat (harm) than benefits. Thus, a system revitalization which can be adjusted to the financing needs of hajj and umrah is needed. However, it should be kept within the Islamic values
