dc.description.abstractThis research aims to find out the profesionalism in managing the students learning sources. The obstacles faced and the efforts done to increase the professionalism of the Islamic Education (PAI) teachers group in MAN 3 Sleman. This research subject is the Islamic Education (PAI) teachers group consisting of 9 teachers. This research uses descriptive qualititative research type. The data collection technique use observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis uses descriptive analysis that is giving meaning. By giving meanings toward the data collected, the researcher can draw the conclusion. The results show that: (1) Based on the three indicators of the professional teachers those are professional, social, and personal ability show that the teachers in MAN 3 Sleman can be considered of having professional ability in managing the learning sources, the methods, and the learning material as well. (2) The obstacles existing in the development of the professionalism level of the islamic education (PAI) teachers group in managing the students learning sources is the lack of time in preparing the learning sources , the limited time in utilizing the existing learning sources, and the limited availability of the learning sources in schools. (3) The efforts in increasing the professionalism performed by the islamic education (PAI) teachers in managing the students learning sources by doing activitites like MGMP (The Discussion of the Subject Teachers), holding trainings about the informational technology utilization in the learning, holding the activities of SIKMA (Srawung Ilmiah Guru Mayoga), holding education and training about the laerning unit arrangement.en_US
