PERBANDINGAN TINGKAT KECEMASAN MENGHADAPI UJIAN OSCE (OBJECTIVE STRUCTURED CLINICAL EXAMINATION) PADA MAHASISWA PSIK UMY ANGKATAN 2013 DENGAN 2016
Abstract
Background: Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) is one of the tests that assesses learning outcomes especially on the competency aspects of clinical skills. OSCE for students is a stressful event, even though the students have been well prepared. Student 2016’s of PSIK UMY is a new student which has its own challenge in new life which will be faced and experiencing the difference one of them is the nature of education while in school with college, while student 2013’s or final year students have a sense of confidence in him, the burning spirit in following lectures on The final semester so that his achievement does not decrease which affects the ipk or the cumulative achievement index of each student. This study aims to determine the difference of anxiety level facing OSCE between student class of 2013 with 2016 PSIK UMY.
Method: This researched was a non experimental descriptive researched and used cross-sectional approach. Sampling used simple random sampling. The researched data was used Test Anxiety Inventory (TAI-G) instrument.
Result: The resulted of statistic test showed that in the student class of 2013 had anxiety level at middle level as many as 57 respondents (78,1%) and student of class of 2016 had highest level of anxiety at middle level 58 responden (79,5%). Mann-Whitney analysis resulted showed that the significance (p) of 0.925.
Conclusion: There is no significant difference between the level of anxiety during the OSCE exam on the students of class of 2013’s with students 2016’s PSIK UMY so that the next researcher can researching the more dominant factor of test anxiety.
