PEMBELAJARAN AL-QUR’AN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS AKHLAK SISWA SMP MUHAMMADIYAH KASIHAN
Abstract
The aim of the stady is to find out the process of stadying Al-Qur’an in order to improve the students’ akhlak (moral) in SMP MuhammadiyahKasihan, to find out the effectiveness of the process of studying Al-Qur’an in order to improve the students’akhlak in SMP MuhammadiyahKasihan, and to figure out the supporting and inhibiting factors in the process of stadying Al-Qur’an in improving the students’ akhlak quality at SMP MuhammadiyahKasihan.
This study used qualitative method while the data was collected trought direct field observation, followed by interview and documentation. The data was all related to the stady of Al-Qur’an for improfing the students’ akhlakquality at SMP MuhammadiyahKasihan.
Result showa that the Al-Qur’an studying activity in SMP Muhammadiyah Kasihan is consideret as an initial step done by the teachers in embedding strong religious foundation towards all students so that they will shape a stronglybprepared and religious generation with Al-Qur’an as the basis. It is also the duty of the students’ parents to educate proper moral and religion according to Al-Qur’an and sunnah, besides learning how to recite the hly Qur’an teachers have also taught moral education so that the students will not only be able to recite Al-Qur’an but also know how to behave appropriately. By conducting this activity, it is expected that the students will be accustomed to reciting and studying Al-Qur’an. Currently, three all still many students who connot recite Al-Qur’an properly. Result shows that during the process of studying the holy Qur’an three are still many parts of the program that have not been implemented. Thus, the program dit not in a fully affective and efficient way. Secondly, the affectiveness of studying the Al-Qur’an is als not affective that it needs improvement. Thirdly, the factor supporting the students’ akhlak quality is support from either parents or surrounding community, whill the inhibiting factor is that three are still ineffective teachers who are expert in teaching Al-Qur’an.
