IMPLEMENTASI METODE PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM PADA KURIKULUM STANDARD SEKOLAH RENDAH DI SK (P) SULTAN IBRAHIM JOHOR BAHRU MALAYSIA
Abstract
This study aims at analyzing the learning method in Kurikulum Standard
Sekolah Rendah (KSSR/Elementary School Standard Curriculum), figuring out the
implementation of Islamic education method in SK (P) Sultan Ibrahim Johor Bahru,
Malaysia, as well as analyzing the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing
Islamic Education method in SK (P) Sultan Ibrahim Johor Bahru Malaysia.
This study was a qualitative research that used field research. The data
gathering technique in this study was through structured observation, directed
interview and documentation. This study used data analysis that referred to Miles
and Huberman model, involving data collection, data reduction, data presentation,
data verification and triangulation for data validation.
Result shows that the learning method in KSSR has emphasized more on the
learning method that focuses on the students (student-centered learning), integrated,
fun, as well as reinforcing the students’ thinking skill development and soft skills. The
implementation of Islamic education in SK (P) Sultan Ibrahim Johor Bahru is that the
teachers selected a strategy and teaching method which is conducive and relevant,
actively involving the students in the classroom, actively helping the students in
achieving the required standard, guiding the students to explore various ways in
solving problems and making judgments. The Islamic education learning methods
used in SK (P) Sultan Ibrahim Johor Bahru are Talaqqi Musyafahah, storytelling,
insistent practice, games, hafazan, role-play, asking and giving advice, hot seat,
gallery walk, demonstration, and lawatan.
The factors supporting the Islamic education learning method in SK (P)
Sultan Ibrahim Johor Bahru is the good cooperation between the teachers and the
students’ parents, staff and school headmaster. The whole components have
cooperated appropriately in highlighting the cognitive and behavior development of
the students. The factors inhibiting the Islamic education learning method is that
there are students who cannot cooperate appropriately. Each student has his or her
own interest and mind; therefore teachers should pay attention more on the students’
individual characteristics and also be more creative in developing and administering
the learning method applied.
